Welcome to OSWINMUSIC! My name is John Oswin and I am a professional guitar / piano teacher based in Coventry with over 25 years teaching experience. I have taught hundreds of students over the years and teach all ages and styles. From beginner to advanced player, I tailor the lessons to develop your playing!

My name is John Oswin. I have been a professional musician and teacher since 1987. I have done session work with with Steve Tayton the renowned Jazz saxophonist and various Jazz ensembles all over Europe back in the late eighties.

I started my teaching career at secondary schools, colleges and at Coventry University teaching musical performance. I have taught hundreds of students over the years from 6 years to 80 years young and have taken many students from raw beginner to to playing in bands professionally. Some have gone on to higher education learning music and becoming teachers themselves.
I teach all styles of music Pop. Blues, Rock, Jazz, Folk, Country, Reggae, Funk, Soul, to advance level on guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, theory, composition. All with songwriting included.
I pride myself as a professional, who teaches in a friendly relaxed style and have strategies for helping students with special needs.
My passion for music is hopefully inspirational to others and I like passing on what I have learned along the way.
I am playing presently working for County Music Service teaching guitar/ keyboards, and still play in various bands and duos as a jobbing musician and play solo guitar at weddings and events.
